Can my book be returned by a customer or retailer?

Whether or not a customer can return your book from where it was purchased depends upon that retailer's Customer Returns Policy, which varies by retailer.  For instance, books ordered through our online bookstore are not returnable by the customer.

Whether or not a retailer can return your book to a wholesaler for a refund depends upon whether you have the optional Retail Returns program active for your paperback and/or hardback edition.

Due to the delay in Changing Returns Status, it is best if the Retail Returns Program is ordered during pre-production, along with Price Plan 50 (or 55), but if necessary, the Retail Returns Program can be triggered after the book is published, although in that case, retailers take a very long time to change the status of the book from non-returnable to returnable.
